EDIUS

A finished wedding teaser for an EDIUS workflow

If EDIUS is where your studio adds titles and exports, a WeddingEditor Social Teaser drops into it as one clip. WeddingEditor's AI editing makes the teaser from the footage you upload, compressed and trailer-like, opening on the moment you name and carried by music and the real sound of the day, and delivers it as a standard 1080p H.264 MP4 in widescreen, which video editors such as EDIUS can import. You then add an opening title or captions if you want them, make any phone version yourself, and export each file for the couple.

Nothing in WeddingEditor is EDIUS-specific; what you get is the finished widescreen MP4.

Social Teaser to EDIUS

  1. 1

    Create a Social Teaser project

Choose Social Teaser for the project and upload your files in the browser, .mov, .mp4 and .wav included. Keep the tab open until every file has uploaded.

  2. 2

Say what the teaser is for

In the optional preferences, choose the style, name the couple and the two or three moments to build around, and list anything to avoid. Nothing is assumed for questions you skip.

  3. 3

    Check, revise, download

Watch the teaser in the app when it is ready. If the edit needs changes, email notes in one of up to two revision rounds, then download the MP4.

  4. 4

    Bring it into EDIUS

Import the MP4 into a project that matches it, add your touches to the widescreen version, and build a separate vertical version only if the couple needs one.

Teaser ideas for EDIUS users

Described by task, since EDIUS menus differ from version to version.

Open with the couple's names

Use the title tool for a simple name card over the first shot, timed so the image registers before the text appears.

Captions for one line

Put the key spoken line on a title track so it reads when the teaser autoplays without sound.

Fade in, fade out

Add a fade from black at the start and to black at the end so the teaser feels complete when it is posted.

A vertical version

Where your EDIUS version supports a vertical frame size, make a separate sequence, scale the clip to fill the frame and reposition shots that lose the couple.

Your logo at the end

Close with your studio's logo and contact line on the end card.

One export per version

Export the widescreen and any vertical sequence as separate H.264 files with clear names.

What a teaser in EDIUS starts from

A widescreen 1080p MP4

The Social Teaser arrives as a 1920x1080 H.264 MP4 in widescreen. WeddingEditor produces no vertical edit.

An edit shaped by your notes

The optional preferences on style, people and must-include moments guide the teaser.

Music with real moments

The teaser is music-driven, with the voices and reactions you asked for kept where they land hardest.

One project per edit

A Social Teaser is its project's single edit, and a Highlight Reel of the same wedding is a second project.

Download again later

If you rebuild the EDIUS project months later, download the MP4 again from the same WeddingEditor project.

What is a Social Teaser, and what does EDIUS add?

A Social Teaser is a short, trailer-like edit of the wedding made by WeddingEditor's AI editing from your uploaded footage and delivered as a widescreen 1080p MP4. Bringing it into EDIUS means importing that file and adding your titles, captions and any extra versions before you share it.

It is not a vertical reel, since WeddingEditor delivers widescreen only, and it is not an EDIUS project; only the finished MP4 is delivered.

EDIUS teaser questions

Will the teaser import into EDIUS?

It is a standard 1080p H.264 MP4, which video editors such as EDIUS can import. On an older EDIUS release, check its MP4 support before you start.

Is the Social Teaser already vertical?

No. WeddingEditor delivers the teaser in widescreen only. Any phone-shaped copy is one you make in EDIUS.

Are there EDIUS teaser templates from WeddingEditor?

No. Only the finished MP4 is delivered, so there is no teaser project to build. Titles and templates come from your own EDIUS setup.

Should I add titles before or after revisions?

After. Use your revision rounds to settle the edit first, so titles you add in EDIUS are not lost when shots change.

How long before the teaser is ready?

Processing typically takes 24 to 72 hours after you start it, and there is no guaranteed turnaround.
