FINAL CUT PRO

A finished wedding teaser, reshaped for every platform in Final Cut Pro

A teaser often needs to go out in more than one shape, and Final Cut Pro is quick at that. WeddingEditor's AI editing makes the Social Teaser itself from the footage you upload: a fast, trailer-like edit with music driving it and the real moments you named, delivered as one widescreen 1080p H.264 MP4. In Final Cut Pro you add a title if you want one, use Duplicate Project As to make a vertical copy, let Smart Conform suggest the framing, adjust it, and share each version as its own file.

WeddingEditor delivers widescreen only. Vertical and square versions are yours to make.

Social Teaser to Final Cut Pro

  1. 1

    Pick Social Teaser

Create a project with Social Teaser as its deliverable and upload the files from as many cameras as you used. You do not need to rename or pre-select clips first.

  2. 2

    Write a tight brief

In the preferences, name the moment to open on, describe the couple's outfits so they are easy to pick out, choose the style, and list anything to keep out, such as a guest who asked not to be shown.

  3. 3

    Approve the edit

After processing, typically 24 to 72 hours, watch the teaser in the app. Ask for changes in up to two revision rounds before you spend time in Final Cut Pro.

  4. 4

    Make your versions

Add anything you want to the widescreen project, then duplicate it as a vertical project and conform it, adjusting any shot where the crop misses the couple.

How editors make teaser versions in Final Cut Pro

Most of the effort goes into the versions for each place the couple will post.

Duplicate Project As

Select the project in the browser, choose File > Duplicate Project As, and set the new project's video format to vertical in the dialog.

Smart Conform

In the vertical copy, select the clips and choose Modify > Smart Conform; Final Cut Pro reframes each shot to keep the main action in frame. Review every shot, especially on a busy dance floor.

Titles in a safe zone

Turn on the title and action safe guides in the viewer and keep names inside them in both versions; a title that fits widescreen can fall off a vertical frame.

A square version

Duplicate once more with a square format for a feed post and check that faces stay centered after conforming.

Your end card

Close each version with your logo, sized for that shape rather than copied across.

A cover frame

Pick a clean frame from the opening and export it with File > Share > Save Current Frame for the thumbnail the couple uses.

What a Final Cut Pro teaser workflow depends on

Widescreen input

The Social Teaser is a 1080p widescreen H.264 MP4. WeddingEditor makes no vertical edit, so every phone version comes from your Final Cut Pro project.

The opening you named

The edit works from your notes; naming the opening moment in the preferences is how you shape the first shot of the teaser.

Music with real moments

Music gives the teaser its momentum, with the real voices and reactions you asked for kept where they matter.

Cropping costs detail

A vertical crop of a 1080p frame keeps only a slice of it. Choose wide shots for the phone version and check them at full size.

One teaser, one project

The Social Teaser is the only edit in its project; a Highlight Reel needs a separate project.

What is a Social Teaser, and what does Final Cut Pro add?

A Social Teaser is a short edit built to make the viewer feel the wedding immediately, made by WeddingEditor's AI editing from your uploaded footage and delivered as a widescreen 1080p MP4 for you to watch and download. Final Cut Pro adds what is yours: titles, an end card and any vertical or square version.

It is not a vertical reel; WeddingEditor delivers widescreen only. It is also not a cut-down of a Highlight Reel; it is its own project.

Final Cut Pro teaser questions

Can Final Cut Pro turn the widescreen teaser into a vertical one?

Yes. Duplicate the project with a vertical format and use Smart Conform, then adjust the framing of each shot by hand. WeddingEditor itself delivers widescreen only.

Does WeddingEditor give me a Final Cut Pro teaser template?

No. You get the finished teaser as an MP4, so there is no template to fill. Titles and generators come from your own Final Cut Pro setup if you add them.

Which share settings suit the teaser?

Export File with H.264 at the project's resolution is a simple choice for each version. Name each export by its shape so you send the right one.

Does the teaser already have music?

Yes. The teaser uses music together with real wedding audio, balanced by the audio preference you chose, so it is ready to post as it is.

Can I share the teaser with my couple from WeddingEditor?

No. Delivery to the couple is yours: WeddingEditor sends them nothing, so you choose when and how the Final Cut Pro export reaches them.
