AUDIO PREFERENCES

Decide how much real wedding audio carries the film

Choose how the film balances real wedding sound and music: More speeches & voices, Balanced speech & music, or Mostly music-led. Vows, toasts, laughter and ceremony lines can carry the story, with music supporting them instead of replacing them.

Optional, like every preference question.

Where the audio choice comes in

  1. 1

    Upload footage with its sound

Upload the files from every camera with their recorded sound. Vows and speeches can only carry the film if they were captured.

  2. 2

Answer "How should we use the audio?"

Before checkout, pick one of three options for the balance between real voices and music.

  3. 3

    Name the voices that matter

Before processing, "Are there particular speeches or voices you want us to prioritize?" lets you name the toast, the reading or the vow line that must be heard.

  4. 4

    Start processing

Your choice is saved with the project, and the edit uses it to decide how much of the film is carried by real sound.

What each audio preference does

More speeches & voices

Meaningful real wedding audio carries more of the film: vows, toasts, ceremony lines and real conversation. Music sits underneath and between them. Choose it when the words are the story, such as a couple who wrote their own vows or a family full of good speakers.

Balanced speech & music

Music and spoken moments both work as storytelling tools. A few strong lines are heard in full, and music carries the movement between them. For many weddings it is the natural default.

Mostly music-led

Music drives more of the film, and spoken audio is used more selectively, for the line or two that truly matter. It suits a dance-heavy celebration, a Social Teaser built on momentum, or a wedding where the audio was hard to capture.

Real sound earns its place

A wedding film does not need to be one continuous music montage. Laughter, a gasp at the first look, the officiant's pause before the kiss: real sound is used when hearing the moment makes the film more emotional, personal, funny or memorable.

Speeches trimmed to the lines worth keeping

A five-minute toast does not need to stay five minutes because the camera kept recording. The edit can keep the complete thoughts, the funny and emotional lines and the strong ending, while the picture moves to the couple's reactions.

How WeddingEditor edits wedding speeches

When the audio is poor

If an important moment has poor sound, the edit may lean on another recording, music, reactions or the surrounding moments. WeddingEditor works around imperfect footage; it does not promise to restore audio that was never cleanly recorded.

A balance, not a formula

The preference guides the edit rather than setting a fixed ratio. A Mostly music-led film can still let one vow be heard, and a voice-led film still needs music to move.

Questions about audio preferences

What do the audio preferences change?

How much of the film is carried by real wedding audio and how much by music. See What do the audio preferences change?.

Does the film have music?

Yes. Music and real wedding audio work together. The audio preference sets how much the film leans on each; none of the options removes either one entirely.

How does WeddingEditor use the real sound of the day?

When hearing a moment makes the film better: vows, speeches, ceremony lines, laughter and reactions. See How does WeddingEditor use real wedding audio and music?.

Can I make sure one speech is heard, whatever the balance?

Yes. Name it in the speeches and voices question before processing, or in the must-include moments.

What if a speech was badly recorded?

The edit works around it with other recordings, reactions, music or nearby moments. A recording that was never usable cannot be restored.

Which option suits a Social Teaser?

Many teasers lean music-led for momentum, but a single strong line from the vows or a toast can still carry a teaser of about one minute. Choose what fits the couple.
