A finished wedding teaser, turned into every version in DaVinci Resolve
People who search for a DaVinci Resolve teaser project usually want to skip the assembly. WeddingEditor does exactly that: its AI editing cuts a Social Teaser from the footage you upload, fast and trailer-like, with music carrying the momentum and the real sound you ask for, and delivers it as a widescreen 1080p H.264 MP4. In Resolve you only make what the couple needs beyond that file: a vertical timeline for phones, burned-in captions, a title card, and one Deliver job per version.
WeddingEditor never sends anything to your couple; each version reaches them only when you share it.

Social Teaser to Resolve, step by step
- 1
Start a Social Teaser project
Pick Social Teaser when creating the project and upload every file you want considered, whether from the main camera, a second shooter or a drone. Each file must finish uploading, or be deliberately left out, before checkout.
- 2
Name the moments it must show
List the two or three moments the teaser should be built around and the people in them, and choose the style that matches the couple. Every question is optional, but a teaser has little room, so a clear brief helps.
- 3
Review and revise
Watch the finished edit in the app. If something should change, email your notes in one of up to two revision rounds before you open Resolve; the same edit is revised.
- 4
Branch into versions
Import the MP4, build the widescreen timeline, add anything you want on it, then duplicate it and change the duplicate to a vertical resolution for a phone version.
Resolve tasks editors do with a finished teaser
Each one is an extra the delivered MP4 leaves to you, not a repair.
A vertical timeline
Duplicate the timeline, open Timeline Settings for the copy, untick Use Project Settings and set a vertical frame such as 1080x1920, with mismatched resolution set to scale full frame with crop.
Keyframed reframing
Where the couple moves across the frame, add Position keyframes in the Inspector so the vertical crop follows them instead of the empty half of the shot.
Titles that survive a crop
Build Text+ titles separately on each timeline rather than copying them, so names sit inside the frame of both versions.
Captions burned in
Add a subtitle track on the Edit page for the one spoken line, then choose to burn the subtitles into the video on the Deliver page.
A square copy
Duplicate once more at 1080x1080 for a feed post, and check that the couple stays centered in every shot.
Two jobs in one queue
On the Deliver page, add a job for each timeline with its own file name, then start the queue once and check both files.
What the teaser brings into Resolve
A widescreen source only
The Social Teaser is delivered at 1920x1080 in widescreen. WeddingEditor produces no vertical version, so the phone crop is a Resolve job.
Crops lose resolution
A vertical crop from a 1080p widescreen frame uses only part of the picture, so tight shots can look soft. Favor wider shots for the vertical copy and check them full screen.
Music-driven, with real voices
A teaser leans on music for momentum. The audio preference you chose sets how much the vow line or toast rises above it.
Built from your brief
The moments, people and style you name in the optional preferences shape the teaser.
Its own project
A Social Teaser is the one deliverable of its project; a Highlight Reel of the same wedding needs a second project.

What is a Social Teaser, and what does Resolve add?
A Social Teaser is a short edit made to make the viewer feel the wedding at once, cut by WeddingEditor's AI editing from your uploaded footage and delivered as a widescreen 1080p MP4. Bringing it into DaVinci Resolve means adding the extra aspect ratios, captions and titles each platform needs before the couple sees it.
It is not a Resolve project download and not a vertical reel; WeddingEditor delivers the finished widescreen MP4 only.
DaVinci Resolve teaser questions
Is there a DaVinci Resolve teaser project I can download?
No. WeddingEditor delivers the finished teaser as an MP4, not a Resolve project or timeline, so there is nothing to assemble. Import it and build your version timelines around it.
How do I make a vertical teaser in Resolve from the widescreen file?
Duplicate the timeline, give the copy a custom vertical resolution in its timeline settings, set mismatched resolution to scale full frame with crop, and reposition shots in the Inspector.
Will my vertical copy look soft?
It can, because a vertical crop uses part of a 1080p widescreen frame. Choose the shots that hold up and check the export on a phone before sharing.
Can I burn captions into the teaser?
Yes. Add a subtitle track on the Edit page and choose to burn the subtitles into the video in the Deliver page's subtitle settings.
What does a Social Teaser cost?
One Wedding is $119 one-time for one wedding and covers one edit; a plan credit can be used instead.
