A finished wedding highlight for studios that work in EDIUS
Plenty of wedding studios, especially those filming large, multi-event weddings, still run their workflow in EDIUS. WeddingEditor takes the editing itself off that workflow. Its AI editing turns your uploaded footage into a Highlight Reel of about 5 minutes, with the important family members, the rituals you list and the speeches given their place, and delivers it as a standard 1080p H.264 MP4, a file that video editors such as EDIUS can import. In EDIUS you place it on a timeline in a project that matches the file, add your titles and logo if you want them, and export the file you deliver.
WeddingEditor offers nothing EDIUS-specific. Treat the MP4 as you would any finished clip.

From upload to an EDIUS export
- 1
Upload and choose Highlight Reel
Create the project, choose Highlight Reel and upload everything you shot, from every camera. There is no limit on the number of files, and each file can be up to 5 GB.
- 2
Brief the people and moments
Families often watch a highlight for the relatives in it. Use the people question to name parents, grandparents and siblings with what they wore, and list the rituals or moments that must appear, in order.
- 3
Watch it before you open EDIUS
Watch the edit in the app once processing completes, typically 24 to 72 hours after it starts, and send any changes by email in up to two revision rounds.
- 4
Bring it into EDIUS
Download the MP4, create or open a project whose preset matches 1920x1080 and the file's frame rate, add the clip to the bin, place it on the timeline and add your touches.
Optional touches editors add in EDIUS
Menu names differ between EDIUS versions, so these describe the task rather than a specific button.
Match the project to the file
Use a project preset at 1920x1080 with the same frame rate as the MP4, so the clip plays on the timeline without conversion or scaling.
Names and date
Use the EDIUS title tool to add the couple's names, the date and the venue over the opening shot or on a plain background.
Event titles for a long celebration
Where the highlight moves from one event to the next, such as from the mehndi to the wedding day, add a short title at that cut so relatives know which day they are watching.
Cut points for single shots
Add cuts on the timeline at the shot changes inside the MP4 when you want a title over just one moment.
Your studio card
Close with your logo and contact line, so the family's copy carries your studio's name.
Export a delivery file
Export the finished timeline as an H.264 file at 1920x1080 using the file export options in your version, then watch it through once.
What the MP4 gives you to work with in EDIUS
A standard delivery format
The Highlight Reel is a 1080p H.264 MP4 in widescreen, the kind of file EDIUS and most video editors import.
One clip, nothing more
WeddingEditor delivers only the MP4: no project, no edit list and no separate audio. Anything you add sits on top of it.
Sound and music together
Speeches, blessings and the band you recorded play with music, balanced by the audio preference you set.
About 5 minutes per project
One project produces one Highlight Reel of about 5 minutes.
Changes go back into the edit
Up to two revision rounds are included with each full edit, so a missing relative is fixed in the edit rather than rebuilt by you.
EDIUS tasks for a finished highlight
| Task | How in EDIUS (general) | Wedding tip |
|---|---|---|
| Import | Add the MP4 to the bin | Keep it with the couple's logo and title files |
| Project settings | A 1080p preset at the file's frame rate | Avoid scaling a 1080p file into a larger frame |
| Titles | The built-in title tool | Spell names exactly as the couple writes them |
| Event labels | Short titles at the cuts between events | Useful for multi-day weddings |
| Export | File export to H.264 at 1920x1080 | Check the exported file plays on the devices the family uses |
| Archive | The export plus your EDIUS project | Keep both with the couple's other files |
Where does EDIUS fit once WeddingEditor edits the highlight?
WeddingEditor does the wedding-editing work, from choosing the moments to turning several cameras into one coherent wedding story. EDIUS stays in your studio's workflow for what you add afterwards: titles, event labels, your logo and the delivery export.
WeddingEditor provides nothing EDIUS-specific, such as a project or a preset. It delivers only the finished, standard MP4, which you bring in like any other clip.
EDIUS highlight questions
Can EDIUS import the WeddingEditor highlight?
The edit is a standard 1080p H.264 MP4, a format video editors such as EDIUS can import. If you run an older EDIUS release, confirm its H.264 MP4 support first.
Is there an EDIUS project or template from WeddingEditor?
No. WeddingEditor delivers only the finished MP4. Your project, titles and presets come from your own EDIUS setup.
What project settings should I use in EDIUS?
Match the file: 1920x1080 and the MP4's frame rate. Check the frame rate in the clip's properties before you choose a preset.
Can I make a vertical version in EDIUS?
If your EDIUS version allows a custom or vertical frame size, set up a separate project or sequence with it and scale and position the clip. WeddingEditor itself delivers widescreen only.
How much does one highlight cost?
One Wedding is $119 one-time for one wedding; on a plan, one credit covers the project.
