A natural wedding teaser that opens on the sound of the place
A natural Social Teaser begins before anyone speaks. It opens on the setting and its sound, waves, wind through long grass, a church bell, then lands on one unposed moment between people, a laugh or a hand reached out, and ends quietly on the landscape again. It sells the feeling of being there rather than the events of the day. Describe that place and moment in the preference questions and WeddingEditor's AI editing cuts the teaser from your footage, in widescreen.
Pick the one sound that defines the venue. It is the first thing the viewer will hear.

How to brief a natural teaser
- 1
Set up a Social Teaser project
Choose Social Teaser when creating the project; it will be that project's only edit. A slower natural highlight of the same wedding is a separate project. Upload the establishing clips of the setting and the unposed moments at minimum, with the sound each camera recorded.
- 2
Name the sound, the moment and the ending
Choose Natural & Documentary-style, then write three things in the free-text answers: the sound the teaser should open on, the single unposed moment at its centre, and the image it should end on. Ask for little or no speech.
- 3
Watch, download and share when you choose
Processing typically takes 24 to 72 hours. Watch the teaser in your project and download the MP4; WeddingEditor sends nothing to your couple, so the timing of sharing is yours. If the opening sound is wrong, request a change in one of your up to two revision rounds.
Opening and closing beats for a natural teaser
A natural teaser is built from one sound and one moment. These notes pin both down.
Open on sound
"Start on the waves at the cove, black for a beat, then the wide."
Open on a bell
"The village church bell ringing as guests walk up the hill."
The moment between them
"Her laughing as the veil blows across his face, no dialogue."
A small gesture
"His grandmother reaching for his hand on the bench."
Close on the place
"End on the empty beach at dusk with the tide coming in."
What a natural teaser needs
A defining sound
The teaser opens on the setting's own audio, so it needs a clean ambient recording: a camera left rolling on the view with its mic on, ideally close to the water or the bells.
One genuine moment
Natural teasers rarely use more than one or two beats with people in them. They should be unposed and recognisable at a glance.
A landscape to return to
Coming back to the setting at the end gives the teaser a calm shape without needing speech or a story.
Delivered in widescreen
The Social Teaser is a 1080p widescreen MP4; there is no vertical version, so a tall crop is something you make in your own editor.
One edit per project
A natural teaser and a natural highlight of the same wedding are separate projects, each using a purchase or a plan credit.
Beats of a natural teaser
| Beat | Purpose | How to brief it |
|---|---|---|
| Ambient opening | Places the viewer in the setting | Name the sound and the clip |
| Wide of the place | Shows where they are | Point to your best establishing shot |
| Unposed moment | Brings in the people honestly | Describe one moment, no dialogue needed |
| Small gesture | Adds intimacy without explanation | Optional: one close shot |
| Return to the setting | Ends calm and open | Name the closing view and its sound |
What is a natural Social Teaser?
A Social Teaser is the shorter WeddingEditor deliverable, made as the single edit of a project. A natural one opens on the setting's sound, holds one unposed moment and returns to the place, cut by WeddingEditor's AI editing from your footage and notes.
Not a vertical reel. The teaser is widescreen, and reformatting it for a phone-first feed happens in your own editor after download.
Natural teaser questions
Can a natural teaser have no speech at all?
Yes. Many do. Ask for no speech in the preferences and name the ambient sound you want instead.
Which sound should open it?
The one that is unique to the venue: the sea at a coastal wedding, bells at a village church, rain on a marquee. Name the clip where it is clearest.
Should the couple be in the opening shot?
Usually not in a natural teaser. Opening on the place and bringing the couple in a beat later is a common shape, but say what you prefer.
Will there be music under the ambience?
If you want it. Real sound and music are used together, so pick Balanced speech & music for a soft bed under the waves or bells, or More speeches & voices to keep the place itself in front.
Do I need to upload the whole day for a teaser?
No. Upload what the teaser could use, such as the setting and the unposed moments, though uploading everything gives the edit more to choose from. There is no file count limit.
