EPIC SOCIAL TEASER

An epic wedding teaser that opens on the biggest shot you have

An epic Social Teaser makes one statement of scale and then gets out of the way. It opens on the single largest image of the wedding, a drone reveal of the venue, the whole crowd from above, the couple on a ridge, cuts quickly to the people at its centre, and ends on a second big image or a close face. There is no room to tour every location, so choose one. Brief it in the preference questions and WeddingEditor's AI editing makes the teaser from your footage.

Pick one hero shot. A teaser that tries to show every view ends up showing none of them properly.

How to brief an epic teaser

  1. 1

    Create a Social Teaser project

Pick Social Teaser when creating the project. Upload your aerials and widest angles plus the close moments; a separate project would be needed for a Highlight Reel of the same wedding.

  2. 2

    Name the hero shot first

Choose Emotional & Cinematic. In the moments question, write the hero shot the teaser must open on, the two or three close moments that follow, and the image to end on. In the avoid question, rule out wides that look empty or messy.

  3. 3

    Watch and share it yourself

Processing typically takes 24 to 72 hours. Watch the teaser in your project, download the widescreen MP4, and post or send it yourself; nothing goes to the couple from WeddingEditor. Up to two revision rounds by email are included.

Opening and closing beats for an epic teaser

An epic teaser is defined by its first image. Be exact about it.

Open on the reveal

"First shot: the drone pulling back from the couple on the jetty until the whole fjord is in frame."

Open on the crowd

"Open on the top-down shot of the dance floor packed with guests."

Drop to the couple

"Straight after: her face as the doors open, then his."

Close wide

"End on the fireworks over the castle, from the far hill."

Close tight

"End on them alone at the edge of the terrace, the valley behind, close."

What an epic teaser needs

One hero image

The opening shot does most of the work in an epic teaser. It should be stable, clearly exposed and genuinely large.

A quick drop to people

Without a face soon after the wide, the teaser reads as a venue advert. A cut to the couple or a reacting guest gives the scale meaning.

Few locations

At teaser length, one landscape or one venue is plenty. A second big image is best saved for the ending.

Widescreen, not vertical

The Social Teaser is a widescreen 1080p MP4, with no vertical version. Wide aerials suit that frame; for a phone-first crop, reframe in your own editor.

A project of its own

Each project produces one edit, so the epic teaser and any highlight of the same wedding each use a purchase or plan credit.

What is an epic Social Teaser?

A Social Teaser is the shorter WeddingEditor deliverable, made as the single edit of its project. An epic one opens on the biggest image of the wedding and drops to the people in it, made by AI editing from your footage and the hero shot you choose.

Not a location reel. The teaser should still be about the couple; the landscape is the frame around them.

Epic teaser questions

Should an epic teaser start with a drone shot?

Often, if you have a strong one. A crowd from above or a long-lens landscape can do the same job. Whatever you choose, name it as the opening in the preferences.

Can the teaser show several venues from a destination week?

It can, but it rarely helps. One location told well usually reads bigger than several glimpsed. Save the tour for a highlight project.

Will my 4K drone footage stay 4K in the teaser?

No. The teaser is delivered as a 1080p MP4. Upload the 4K files as they are; there is no need to convert them first.

Will the teaser be music-led?

If you want it to be. Choose Mostly music-led and music drives the teaser, with a cheer or a single line of real audio used where it lands hardest.

How soon is the epic teaser ready?

Processing typically takes 24 to 72 hours after you start it, with no guaranteed turnaround.
