Wedding social media video, cut as a Social Teaser
For posting a wedding online, WeddingEditor offers the Social Teaser: a short deliverable cut by WeddingEditor's AI editing from the footage you uploaded, built around the moments you name in your preferences. It arrives as a 1080p widescreen MP4. There is no vertical version, so if you post to vertical feeds you crop and caption the teaser in your own editor. Creating an account is free, and the teaser is paid for as one wedding edit.
Creating an account is free; you only pay when you are ready to start an edit.
What you receive for social posting
A Social Teaser project returns one file, ready for you to adapt to each place you post.
A short cut of the day
The Social Teaser is the shorter of the two deliverables, made for a quick share rather than a full story. You choose it when you create the project, and it is the only edit that project produces.
Built on your chosen moments
You decide what the teaser leans on, such as the kiss, the entrance or a toast, in the preference answers.
Widescreen 1080p MP4
The teaser is delivered in widescreen. Reframe it for vertical or square feeds in your editor.
Recorded sound kept
Natural sound and speech stay in. Add trending audio or licensed music on the platform or in your editor.
Yours to publish
WeddingEditor never posts for you and never contacts the couple, so the timing of the share is yours.
What is a wedding social media video?
Videographers use the phrase for the short clips that go up on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts or Facebook soon after a wedding, often within days, to delight the couple and show new clients what the studio does. Each platform has its own shape and length habits, and most of them favor vertical video. The editing problem is the same everywhere though: finding a few strong seconds in a full day of footage. WeddingEditor solves the finding and cutting part with the Social Teaser, while the platform formatting stays with you, because every WeddingEditor edit is delivered in widescreen at 1080p. If your feed is vertical, plan a quick reframe in your editor before posting. A practical workflow many studios use is to treat the Social Teaser as the master: keep the widescreen file for YouTube and your website, then make one vertical crop and one square crop from it for the other feeds. Because the recorded sound is kept, a single toast line or a burst of laughter can carry the clip without any music at all.
Not the same as a social media management tool. WeddingEditor does not schedule or publish posts.

Wedding social media video questions
Do you work as a wedding social media videographer?
No. WeddingEditor does not film weddings or run social accounts. It edits footage that you, the videographer, upload, and returns a Social Teaser you can post wherever your couples and future clients spend time.
What are the specs of the file?
A 1080p (1920 by 1080) H.264 MP4 in widescreen. There is no 4K or vertical version, so reframe it for each platform's preferred shape.
Can I get a vertical teaser?
Not from WeddingEditor. Every edit is widescreen. Crop the MP4 to vertical in your editor, and keep the key action near the center of the frame when you shoot the moments you expect to reframe later.
Will you add trending audio?
No. Real wedding audio and music work together in the edit, balanced by your audio preference. Add audio on the platform or in your editor.
How soon can I post?
Processing typically takes 24 to 72 hours after you start it, with no guaranteed turnaround.
Can I get a social teaser and a highlight for the same wedding?
Each purchase covers one deliverable. Create a second project for the second deliverable.
Do I need to cull the footage first?
No. Upload everything and name the moments you want in the preferences. There is no limit on the number of files or the total size of the project, so there is no reason to leave a camera card out.
Can my team upload clips for the teaser?
Teammates signed in to your WeddingEditor team can add files through a team upload link that WeddingEditor sets up for you, so a second shooter can send their cards without a hard drive changing hands.
Which moments work best in a short social cut?
Short cuts tend to work best with moments that read without context: the first look, the walk down the aisle, the kiss, a big laugh during a toast, the first dance and the exit. Name your top choices in the preferences, along with anything the couple would not want shared publicly.
Is there a preview before I buy the full teaser?
The app offers an optional sample edit made automatically by AI from a selection of your clips, watched in the app. It is a separate purchase.
