LARGE WEDDINGS

Large weddings: one film from a very long day and a very full room

A large wedding gives a videographer more of everything: family, wedding party, speeches, formal events, dancing and footage from several shooters. The risk is a film that looks beautiful and still leaves out the grandparents or the best line of the night. WeddingEditor works across the whole uploaded wedding, and your preference answers name the people and moments that must not disappear. WeddingEditor's AI editing then builds a Highlight Reel of about five minutes or a Social Teaser around them.

For videographers who regularly film big guest lists, long receptions and wedding parties that fill a row of chairs.

What makes large weddings hard to edit

Too many people who matter

Parents, step-parents, grandparents, a dozen attendants and the friend who flew in from abroad all deserve a moment, and they cannot all get one.

Speeches stack up

Four or five toasts, each with a story worth keeping, can fill a film by themselves unless each is cut to its best lines.

Coverage from everywhere

Two or three shooters, a static ceremony camera and a drone produce angles of the same moment that all need comparing.

WeddingEditor treats the large wedding as one project and one story. Upload footage from every shooter without sorting it. Use the preference questions to list the people who must appear, the speeches that matter most, and anything to keep out, such as a long block of the dance floor. WeddingEditor's AI editing gives speeches their strongest lines, lets the picture move to reactions while a toast continues, and keeps the film moving instead of trying to show everything.

What WeddingEditor brings to a big wedding

The features that matter most when the guest list is long.

No file limits

No limit on file count or total project size, and each file can be up to 5 GB, so several shooters can upload everything.

People who must appear

Name the parents, grandparents, wedding party and anyone else the couple would miss if they were absent from the film.

Speeches cut to what matters

A long toast can be focused on its best story and strongest ending, with reactions from the couple and guests on screen.

Real audio with music

Choose more speeches and voices for a toast-heavy wedding, or mostly music-led for a dance-floor night.

Proven at scale

WeddingEditor has processed more than 6 TB of wedding footage, so long multi-shooter days are familiar territory.

Briefing a large wedding

  1. 1

    Collect every shooter's files

Upload footage from all cameras into one project, or have teammates add files through a team upload link.

  2. 2

List the people in order of importance

Start with the people the couple named first, then the wedding party and close friends.

  3. 3

    Pick the speeches

Say which toasts matter most and roughly when they happened, so the best lines are found in a long evening.

  4. 4

    Set the balance and start

Choose the film's feel and audio approach, note what to avoid, and start processing.

Questions about large weddings

Can a five-minute highlight really cover a large wedding?

It cannot show everything, and it should not try. It tells the wedding through the people and moments that matter most, which is why naming them in the preferences helps.

How do I make sure grandparents appear?

List them as must-include people and describe them, for example by where they sat or what they wore, so they are easy to recognize in a crowded room.

What happens to the speeches I do not mention?

They can still appear if they add to the film, usually more briefly. Put a speech in the avoid question if it should be left out entirely.

Can a large wedding get two edits?

Yes, as two projects, for example a Highlight Reel and a Social Teaser, each with its own purchase or plan credit.

What if a moment is missing after I watch it?

Use one of your revision rounds. Email what to add, such as more of the father's toast, and the same edit is revised.

How long does a big wedding take to process?

It typically takes 24 to 72 hours after processing starts. There is no guaranteed turnaround.

Will WeddingEditor contact the couple or the family?

No. Nothing is ever sent to your couple; you deliver the film yourself.
