DaVinci Resolve wedding editors: spend your time on the Color page, not the first cut

Many wedding filmmakers choose DaVinci Resolve for its Color page, then spend most of each wedding on the Cut and Edit pages instead. WeddingEditor takes on the wedding edit: upload the raw footage, answer the preference questions, and WeddingEditor's AI editing builds a finished film. Import the 1080p MP4 into Resolve to apply your look, titles and final checks, and spend your hours where Resolve shines.

For editors who would rather shape the look of a film than assemble it clip by clip.

Where Resolve weddings lose time

The Media pool fills before the story starts

Importing every card, organizing bins and checking clips from several cameras is slow even with smart bins.

Assembly on the Cut page

Source tape helps you scan, but you still watch the day to find vows, rings, reactions and the lines worth keeping.

Mixed cameras before the look

Matching different cameras and picture profiles into one film is careful work, and it starts only after the cut exists.

WeddingEditor moves the cut out of Resolve. Upload the original files, including LOG footage and clips from different cameras, into a WeddingEditor project. Answer the preference questions so the edit knows the people, the speeches and the feel. WeddingEditor's AI editing makes the film and works toward one consistent finished look across cameras and lighting, and it is delivered to your project. You open Resolve with one finished film, ready for your look and titles. The hours you used to spend scanning source tape go into the part of the craft that made you choose Resolve.

How WeddingEditor fits a Resolve workflow

WeddingEditor handles the edit; Resolve handles your finishing.

Upload LOG and mixed cameras

Footage from different cameras, picture profiles and frame rates can go into one project; the finished film is meant to feel like one film.

Finished 1080p MP4

The delivered edit is a 1080p H.264 MP4 that drops into a Resolve timeline for your look and titles.

Real audio and music, balanced

Choose more speeches and voices, a balance, or mostly music-led; Fairlight stays available for anything you add.

Revisions as notes, not nodes

Up to two revision rounds per full edit. Email what should change and the same edit is revised.

Low-light receptions included

Dark receptions and DJ lighting are normal wedding footage; the edit makes the strongest film from what was captured.

Questions from DaVinci Resolve users

Does WeddingEditor deliver a Resolve timeline or DRP?

No. It delivers a finished 1080p H.264 MP4. Import it into Resolve for finishing.

Can I upload LOG footage?

Yes. Footage shot in LOG or other picture profiles can be uploaded with the rest of the wedding, and the finished film works toward a consistent look.

Will my look work on top of the delivered MP4?

You can apply your look to the MP4 in Resolve, but it is a finished file rather than original camera footage, so expect a lighter touch than on raw LOG clips.

Can I ask for a different cut?

Yes. Up to two revision rounds are included with every full edit. Email the change and the same edit is revised.

When can I start on the Color page?

Once the edit arrives, which typically takes 24 to 72 hours after processing starts. There is no guaranteed turnaround.

Does the edit include 4K or vertical versions?

The edit is delivered in 1080p widescreen. Other formats are up to you in Resolve.

What about clips shot at high frame rates for slow motion?

Upload them with everything else. Mixed frame rates are normal at weddings, and the edit treats each clip by how it serves the film: slow motion for an entrance or the dress moving, real time for speeches and natural moments. You do not need to conform frame rates in Resolve first.

Give your hours to the look, not the assembly
