A Vietnamese wedding highlight that follows the bride from one home to the other
A Vietnamese wedding highlight has a natural route to follow: the groom's procession arriving with the trays, the bow before the bride's family altar, tea and jewelry from her parents, her farewell, the welcome at the groom's home, and an evening banquet of toasts and table visits. A reel of about 5 minutes can carry that journey if you choose the moments for it. Upload the wedding as one WeddingEditor project, choose Highlight Reel, and use the preference questions to name the speakers, the parents and the beats that must survive. WeddingEditor's AI editing then makes the reel.

How to brief a Vietnamese wedding highlight
- 1
Bring the day into one project
The reel is built only from what the project holds, so upload the procession, both homes, a Mass or pagoda visit if there was one, and the banquet together. Add your second shooter's cards too. If the an hoi happened on the same day and you want it in the reel, add it too; if not, keep it for a separate project.
- 2
Choose what leads
In the prioritize question, Family & reactions and The couple are the usual picks for the home rites, with Reception & dancing if the banquet was lively. In the moments question, write the beats in the order of the day, and in the speeches question name the one or two speakers whose words must be heard, such as the bride's father or the groom's family elder.
- 3
Watch, download and refine
Pay with One Wedding or a plan credit and start processing; it typically takes 24 to 72 hours. Watch the reel in the app and download the 1080p MP4 to send on whenever you choose. Up to two revision rounds by email cover changes to this reel, such as a missing beat at the groom's home.
Moments to name for a Vietnamese wedding highlight
These go in the question about moments that absolutely need to be included. Order them as they happened.
The procession arrives
"The groom's family walking up to the gate with the trays, the groom in a blue ao dai and khan dong at the front with his parents."
The bow before the altar
"The couple bowing together with incense at her family altar, and a few words from her grandfather."
Jewelry from her mother
"Her mother fastening the earrings, then wiping her eyes. Keep both."
Leaving home
"The bride walking out with the groom's family, her father at the door."
The banquet entrance
"The couple entering the hall in the white gown and suit, and the MC introducing them."
The table toast
"One table shouting mot, hai, ba, dzo with the couple, preferably the bride's cousins' table."
What a good Vietnamese wedding highlight balances
Editorial choices for you and the couple. The edit keeps the balance you describe.
Formal morning, loud evening
The home rites are formal and often slow, with speeches and bows; the banquet is noisy and fast. A reel that gives each its own space feels like the whole day rather than only the party.
Two families, two altars
With the rite held at the bride's home and then the groom's, both families expect to see themselves. If one home was covered only by your second shooter, mention it so it is not overlooked.
Words that matter
Much of the meaning sits in the elders' speeches and the parents' advice, usually in Vietnamese. Choose the few lines worth keeping; a reel of this length cannot hold whole speeches.
Changes of outfit
Many brides wear an ao dai for the home rites and a gown at the banquet, and some change again during the evening. Describe each outfit so the edit can follow her through the day.
Altar rooms and banquet halls
The home rites often happen in a small front room around the altar, with incense smoke, window light and many relatives standing close. The banquet is usually in a restaurant hall under stage lighting. Point to the camera that held faces best in each place; WeddingEditor works toward a consistent finished look across the altar room and the hall.
About 5 minutes, one reel
The Highlight Reel runs about 5 minutes and is the project's only edit, a 1080p widescreen MP4 where your recorded speeches and music share the sound, as your audio preference sets.
Moments of a Vietnamese wedding highlight and how to brief them
| Moment | Why it matters | How to brief it |
|---|---|---|
| Procession | Opens the story and shows the groom's family | "The trays arriving at the gate, wide then close." |
| Altar rite | The center of the home ceremony for many families | "The bow at her family altar, with the elder's words." |
| Tea and jewelry | The parents' blessing | "Earrings from her mother, the bracelet from his." |
| Farewell | The emotional turn of the day | "Her father at the door as she leaves." |
| Mass or pagoda | For families whose faith is part of the day | "Rings and the blessing from the Mass, nothing from the sanctuary." |
| Banquet entrance | The couple's public moment | "Entrance in the gown, the MC's introduction." |
| Table toasts | The sound of the evening | "One full mot, hai, ba, dzo from a single table." |
What is a Highlight Reel of a Vietnamese wedding?
It is an edit of about 5 minutes that follows the main moments of a Vietnamese wedding in order, from the procession and the altar rites to the banquet, made by WeddingEditor from your uploaded footage. Each project makes one Highlight Reel, shaped by your notes on people, moments and speeches.
It is not the full documentary of the wedding or the complete speeches, which you cut yourself. It is also not a Social Teaser, a shorter edit ordered as its own project.
Vietnamese wedding highlight questions
Can the highlight cover both the an hoi and the wedding day?
Yes, if both are uploaded to the same project and you describe the order. When the an hoi was weeks earlier, many videographers give it a separate project and edit instead.
Will the highlight include a Catholic Mass as well as the altar rite?
It can. Upload both and say how to weigh them, for example "vows and rings from the Mass, then the bow at both family altars". The edit follows the proportion you give.
Which speech should I prioritise?
Usually the one the family will want to hear again, such as the bride's father's advice or the groom's family elder asking for the bride. Name one or two in the speeches question; a reel of this length rarely holds more.
Can the banquet singing be left out?
Yes. Note in the avoid question what to drop, for example "skip the relatives' karaoke except the grandmother's song".
Can I order a teaser of the same wedding?
A Social Teaser is a separate project with its own upload and its own purchase or credit, because each project produces a single edit.
What if the reel misses the earrings moment?
Email a revision note from the app, such as "add her mother fastening the earrings, about 10:15 am at the bride's home". The same reel is revised, and you have up to two rounds.
