NIGERIAN WEDDINGS

A Nigerian wedding highlight that fits several days into five minutes

A Nigerian wedding highlight has a lot to hold: traditional attire and aso ebi, a church or mosque ceremony, a grand entrance, money spraying and a dance floor that rarely empties. In about 5 minutes it cannot show everything, so it should follow the days in order and return to the people the families care about. You set that order and those people in the preference questions, and WeddingEditor's AI editing cuts the Highlight Reel from your footage.

Several days can share one highlight project, or each day can have its own.

How to brief a Nigerian wedding highlight

  1. 1

Pick Highlight Reel and upload the days

Create the project with Highlight Reel and upload every day you want in it: the traditional wedding, the white wedding or nikah, and the reception. Drop in all cameras' files as they are; nothing needs sorting first.

  2. 2

Give the order and the faces

In the moments question, list the beats day by day, for example "traditional: prostration and bride's entrance; church: vows; reception: grand entrance, first dance with spraying, cake". In the people question, name the parents, siblings and chairman.

  3. 3

Review the highlight and request changes

After processing, typically 24 to 72 hours, watch the edit in the app and download the 1080p MP4. If a family member or moment is missing, email notes from the link in the app; you have up to two revision rounds.

Must-include moments for a Nigerian highlight

The traditional entrance

The bride arriving at her traditional wedding in full attire, often dancing in with her friends.

A ritual of respect

Depending on the tradition, the groom's party prostrating, the bride kneeling for blessings, or the wine-carrying search for the groom.

Vows

The white wedding vows and rings, or the key moments of the nikah, kept brief but audible.

The grand entrance

The bridal party and then the couple dancing into the reception hall.

The first dance and spraying

The couple dancing while guests spray notes, the energy most families want to remember.

Parents' words

A blessing or speech from a parent or the chairman of the occasion.

What a good Nigerian highlight balances

Ceremony and party

Traditional rites and church vows carry the meaning; the reception carries the energy. A highlight that keeps both feels true to the wedding.

The families' colors

Aso ebi lets the edit show each family as a group. Ask for each color to appear at least once.

Voices among the music

Bands and DJs can drown speech. Say in the audio question which speeches or prayers must be heard clearly.

Recorded sound and music, balanced

The edit keeps the sound in your footage and balances it with music. Choose more voices in the audio preference and the reception band or DJ carries more of the film.

About 5 minutes, one per project

The Highlight Reel is about 5 minutes and each project produces one edit.

What is a Nigerian wedding Highlight Reel?

A Highlight Reel is a single edit of about 5 minutes made from one project's footage. For a Nigerian wedding it usually runs through the traditional ceremony, the church or mosque ceremony and the reception, keeping the moments families ask for first.

It is not a full record of each day. If the families want the complete traditional ceremony, cut that from your own footage.

Nigerian highlight questions

Can one highlight hold three days of a Nigerian wedding?

Yes, if all three days are uploaded to the same project. It will be about 5 minutes, so list the beats you want from each day.

Should the highlight start with the traditional wedding?

Many couples like it to, because the attire and color set the tone. Note in the preferences the order you want; it follows your notes.

Can the spraying be the ending?

Yes. Write that in the moments question, for example "end on the first dance with spraying".

What if an aunt in a key color is missing?

Describe her in a revision note and ask for her to be added. Up to two revision rounds come with each full edit.

The couple changed outfits several times. Should I list them?

Yes. Describe each outfit and when it was worn, for example "traditional: coral iro and buba with gele; church: white gown; reception: gold dress". It helps the edit keep the story in order and show each look.

Will WeddingEditor add Afrobeats to the highlight?

Not a particular track. The edit balances your footage's sound with music by your audio preference, and a DJ's Afrobeats set you recorded is part of that. Want a song the couple chose? Swap it in with your own editor once the file is downloaded.

Does WeddingEditor decide which family's customs come first in the film?

No. In a Nigerian wedding that brings two families or traditions together, the order and balance is the families' decision, not WeddingEditor's. Write it in the preferences and the AI editing follows your notes.
