A classic wedding teaser built on three familiar milestones
A classic Social Teaser cannot walk through the whole day, so it picks the few milestones anyone would recognise as a wedding and shows them in order. The most common trio is the walk down the aisle, the kiss at the pronouncement and the first dance, sometimes opened with a wide shot of the church or venue. Name the milestones in the preference questions, and WeddingEditor's AI editing makes the teaser from your footage as a widescreen MP4.
Three milestones, one setting shot and the order they happened in: that is most of a classic teaser brief.

How to brief a classic teaser
- 1
Choose Social Teaser for the project
Select Social Teaser when you create the project. Each project gives one edit, so a classic highlight of the same wedding is a separate project with its own purchase or credit. Upload the ceremony and reception footage the milestones come from.
- 2
Name the milestones, nothing more
In the preferences set Ceremony & vows as the priority, then list the two to four milestones the teaser should show and the order they come in. Add the venue shot you want to open on, if any, and leave the rest of the questions blank if you have nothing to add.
- 3
Watch it, then post it yourself
Processing typically takes 24 to 72 hours. Watch the finished teaser in your project and download the MP4. WeddingEditor never sends anything to your couple, so you decide when they and their families see it. Up to two revision rounds by email are included.
Opening and closing beats for a classic teaser
Classic teasers are short and orderly. Notes like these fix the first and last beat and the milestones between them.
Open on the venue
"Open on the wide shot of the chapel from across the lake, bells audible."
Open on the doors
"First beat: the chapel doors opening and the bride with her father in the doorway."
Middle milestones
"Then the ring going on, then the kiss with the applause. Nothing from the morning."
Close on the dance
"Close on the first dance, the wide shot with the chandelier."
Close on the exit
"Or, if it works better, close on the rice toss as they leave the chapel."
What a classic teaser needs
Instantly readable milestones
A classic teaser works because viewers know the moments without explanation. The aisle walk, the rings, the kiss and the first dance need clean, steady shots, not just close fragments.
One establishing image
A single wide of the church, the hall or the garden tells the viewer where they are, which suits the traditional shape better than opening on a close detail.
Restraint in what is left out
Speeches, guest interviews and the morning preparations usually stay out. A classic teaser shows the familiar shape of the day and leaves the rest for the highlight or the longer film.
Widescreen only
The Social Teaser is a 1080p widescreen MP4; WeddingEditor does not make a vertical version, so any phone-shaped crop is something you do after download.
Its own project
Because each project produces a single edit, ordering a teaser and a highlight of one wedding means two projects, each with a purchase or a plan credit.
Beats of a classic teaser
| Beat | Purpose | How to brief it |
|---|---|---|
| Venue shot | Places the viewer in a traditional setting | Name the wide exterior or interior you want |
| Aisle walk | The first recognisable milestone | Point to the angle from the back of the aisle |
| Rings or kiss | The ceremony's peak in one image | Choose one, or both in order |
| First dance | Moves the story to the celebration | Ask for a wide that shows the room |
| Final image | Closes the sequence cleanly | The dance or the exit, whichever is stronger |
What is a classic Social Teaser?
A Social Teaser is the shorter WeddingEditor deliverable and the single edit of its project. A classic one shows a small number of traditional milestones in the order they happened, made by AI editing from your footage and the milestones you list.
Not a vertical reel for phone feeds. The teaser comes in widescreen; reframing for a vertical platform is a step you take in your own editor.
Classic teaser questions
Which milestones suit a classic teaser best?
The ones anyone can name at a glance: the bride's entrance, the rings or the kiss, and the first dance. Pick the strongest-looking version of each rather than trying to include more.
Can a classic teaser include a toast?
It can include one short line, but toasts need time to make sense. Most classic teasers leave speeches to the highlight or the longer film.
Should the teaser stay in chronological order?
For a classic feel, yes. If you want it to open on the first dance and then go back to the aisle, that is closer to a cinematic approach; say so explicitly if you want it.
Can I order a classic teaser and highlight together?
As two projects. Create one Social Teaser project and one Highlight Reel project; each uses its own purchase or plan credit.
Will the bells or organ be heard?
If your cameras recorded them, they can be. The teaser uses real wedding audio together with music, and your audio preference sets the balance; choose Balanced speech & music if the bells should come through clearly.
