A reference helps with things like how much speeches carry the film, music-led versus voice-led storytelling, a cinematic versus documentary feel, and how long moments are given to breathe.
WeddingEditor does not copy another filmmaker shot for shot. Without a reference, the style preferences (Emotional and Cinematic, Fun and Energetic, Romantic and Elegant, Natural and Documentary-style) still set the feel.
