AI wedding entrance editing: turn a fast, loud arrival into the start of the party

The grand entrance lasts seconds, happens in the worst light of the day, and is often half blocked by guests holding up phones. It is also the moment the reception turns from dinner into a party. WeddingEditor's AI editing finds the arrival across every angle you shot, keeps the burst of energy and the faces of the people cheering, and uses the entrance to change the pace of the film. With the Fun & Energetic style preference the reception can open on it hard; with Romantic & Elegant it can be a brief, graceful turn. You deliver a film where the party starts on screen the way it started in the room.

What an entrance can do inside the film

An entrance is a hinge. Handled well, it tells the viewer the wedding has changed gear.

The doors open

A clean beat of the room before the couple appear: guests turning, the DJ calling names, a parent already on their feet. It builds the anticipation the entrance pays off.

The arrival itself

The couple's first steps into the room, a dance move, a fist pump or a slow walk hand in hand. One angle that sees their faces clearly is worth more than three that see their backs.

The wedding party run

Groomsmen and bridesmaids coming in first, often with a planned bit. Their energy can lead into the couple's arrival or be trimmed to keep the film moving.

The room's answer

Cheers, raised glasses and family reacting. These shots carry the feeling of the moment more than the walk itself.

What AI wedding entrance editing means

AI wedding entrance editing is the job of turning a short, chaotic, often poorly lit arrival into a few seconds that change the energy of the film. The editing problem is rarely length; it is selection. There may be a phone screen in front of the best angle, a DJ light flaring across the lens, and a single clean moment where the couple look at each other and laugh. WeddingEditor's AI editing looks for that moment across every camera, keeps the reactions that tell the viewer what the room felt, and decides whether the entrance opens the reception section or sits inside it, depending on the wedding. The style and audio preferences you choose shape how hard the cut hits and whether the DJ's call or the crowd's noise comes through over the music.

Not the same as a wedding intro video or a title sequence. This page is about the couple's reception entrance; opening titles are yours to add when you finish the MP4 in your own editor.

How to get an entrance that lands

  1. 1

Upload the reception from every position

Add the wide from the back of the room, the tight from the doors, any gimbal shots of the couple waiting outside, and audio from the DJ or a recorder. Files can be up to 5 GB each and do not need renaming.

  2. 2

Pick the film and the energy

Choose a Highlight Reel or a Social Teaser. For a high-energy entrance, choose Fun & Energetic; for a quieter arrival, Romantic & Elegant or Natural & Documentary.

  3. 3

Explain the plan in your notes

If the wedding party did a choreographed run, the couple danced in to a specific song, or the father of the bride announced them, say so. Mention any take to avoid, like a false start.

  4. 4

    Review and refine

The finished film arrives in your project, typically in 24 to 72 hours. Up to two revision rounds are included: email your notes and the edit is revised.

What WeddingEditor does with the entrance

Finds the clean moment in the chaos

Across every angle, the edit keeps the frames where the couple can actually be seen and felt, not the ones blocked by phones.

Uses the entrance to set the pace

The arrival can mark the turn from dinner to party, so the reception section opens with energy instead of drifting in.

Lets the room be heard

The DJ's call, the cheer and the music work together, and the balance follows your audio preference.

Treats dark rooms as normal

Reception lighting, DJ washes and mixed color temperatures are expected, and the film works toward one consistent look.

Keeps slow motion purposeful

A high-frame-rate shot of a jump or a twirl can slow down for impact, while the walk-in stays at real speed.

Fits teasers and highlights

In a Social Teaser the entrance can become the energetic payoff; in a Highlight Reel it opens the reception chapter.

Where entrance editing has limits

Blocked angles stay blocked

If every camera was behind a wall of phones at the key second, the edit works around it rather than inventing a clean view.

Unusable dark footage cannot be saved

Very dark or badly overexposed clips can still be unusable, even though difficult light alone does not rule a clip out.

One finished edit per project

The entrance lives inside the Highlight Reel or the Social Teaser; a separate entrance clip is not a second output.

Titles and graphics are yours

Name cards, captions and lower thirds are added when you finish the MP4 in your own editor.

Shooting entrances for the edit

Agree the order with the DJ or planner before dinner so you know which door, which song and which names are coming. Note it in the preference answers too.

Put one camera on a tripod at the back of the room framed for the full walk and set exposure for the couple, not the dark room. It becomes the dependable angle the edit can always return to.

Keep a second shooter low and close to the door for faces. A guest's phone at chest height is less likely to block a lens that is already below it.

Record the room audio. The DJ's introduction and the cheer that follows are often the most energetic sound of the whole wedding.

Pricing

An entrance-heavy reception is edited like any wedding: $119 one-time for one wedding, or a monthly plan credit, for example Pro at $249 per month with 3 credits.

Wedding entrance editing questions

Will the full entrance be in the highlight?

The entrance is kept to the moments that carry it: the reveal, the couple's arrival and the room reacting. The full walk-in is rarely needed for the film to feel it.

Can a funny entrance stay funny?

Yes. Choose Fun & Energetic and say in your notes what the joke was, such as a planned dance or a costume reveal, so the edit keeps the setup and the payoff.

What about the wedding party entrance before the couple?

Upload it with the rest. It can lead into the couple's arrival or be trimmed so the film keeps moving; tell the edit which you prefer.

Can I upload drone or outdoor shots of the couple arriving at the venue?

Yes. Drone and 4K clips can be uploaded, and the finished edit is delivered at 1080p. Aerial arrivals can set up the reception when they add something to the story.

Is the DJ's music kept?

Real wedding audio and music are used together, and the audio preference decides how much the music leads.

What if the entrance was very dark?

Dark receptions and DJ lights are normal, and the film works toward one consistent look, but footage where the couple cannot be seen at all cannot be recovered.

Can the entrance open the film?

It can, if that is the strongest start. The film is built around story and emotion, not file order.

Who sends the film to the couple?

You do. The finished MP4 is delivered to your project, and WeddingEditor never sends anything to your couple.
