# Wedding video export settings, and the file WeddingEditor delivers

Export settings decide how your finished wedding film looks and plays on every screen your couple uses. WeddingEditor's part of that is simple and fixed: the edit it delivers is a 1080p, 1920 by 1080, H.264 MP4 in widescreen, made by WeddingEditor's AI editing from your raw footage. If you deliver that file as it is, there is nothing to export. If you add titles, a grade or music in your own editor, you export your final film yourself, and the choices below are yours to make.

## The delivered file at a glance

These are the properties of the MP4 you download from a WeddingEditor project.

- **Resolution: 1920 by 1080**: Every edit is delivered at 1080p. There is no 4K master, even if you uploaded 4K or drone footage.
- **Codec and container: H.264 in MP4**: The file uses H.264 inside an MP4 container, which plays on phones, laptops, smart TVs and every major editing application.
- **Shape: widescreen**: The frame is widescreen. There is no vertical 9:16 version, so social crops are an export you make yourself.
- **Sound: as recorded**: The audio uses the original sound from your footage together with music, balanced by your audio preference.

## What export settings mean for a wedding film

Export settings are the choices you make when rendering an edit to a deliverable file: resolution, frame rate, codec, bitrate, audio format and container. For wedding films they matter because the same film is watched on a phone in a group chat, on a laptop and on a living-room television. A sensible default is to match the frame rate you shot at, keep the resolution of your timeline, and use a widely supported codec such as H.264 or HEVC at a bitrate that keeps motion clean during dancing and confetti. Audio is normally exported as stereo AAC. When a platform such as a social network recompresses your upload, a higher-quality master gives it more to work with. Keep one master export in your archive and make smaller copies from it, rather than exporting each version from scratch with different settings each time.

Not the same as: Not the same as render settings inside your editor. Export settings shape the delivery file; timeline and render settings shape how you work while editing.

## Getting a deliverable file from WeddingEditor

1. **Choose the deliverable** Create the wedding project and choose Highlight Reel or Social Teaser; that choice fixes the length of what you will export.
2. **Upload originals, not exports** Send the camera originals and recorder audio. Re-exporting before upload adds a generation of compression for no benefit.
3. **Start processing and wait for the edit** After you pay or use a credit, processing typically takes 24 to 72 hours.
4. **Download, or finish and export** Download the MP4 to deliver as it is, or import it into Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro, finish it and export with your own settings.

## What WeddingEditor handles so your export is simpler

- **A consistent output spec**: Every edit comes out as the same 1080p H.264 MP4, so your finishing preset never changes between weddings.
- **Any camera mix on the way in**: Several cameras go into one project; you do not convert or transcode them first.
- **Large source files**: Each upload file can be up to 5 GB, with no limit on the total project size.
- **A finished cut from WeddingEditor**: WeddingEditor's AI editing makes every full edit and delivers it to your project.
- **Re-downloads**: Download the edit again later from the same project when you need a fresh copy.

## Export choices WeddingEditor does not make

- **No 4K or vertical exports**: Only 1080p widescreen is delivered.
- **No custom codec or bitrate**: You cannot choose ProRes, HEVC or a bitrate inside WeddingEditor. Re-export from your editor if you need them.
- **No platform presets**: There are no one-click exports for specific social platforms or delivery galleries.

## Delivering the WeddingEditor file vs exporting your own finish

| Question | Deliver the WeddingEditor MP4 as is | Finish in your editor and export |
|---|---|---|
| Resolution | 1080p | Your timeline, usually 1080p for this edit |
| Codec | H.264 MP4 | Your choice |
| Titles, grade, music | None added | Whatever you add |
| Vertical version | Not available | Make a vertical export yourself |
| Effort | Download and deliver | One more export pass |

## Wedding video export settings questions

### What export settings should I use in Premiere Pro after finishing the WeddingEditor edit?

Match the delivered file: 1920 by 1080 and the frame rate your editor reports for the imported MP4, H.264 or HEVC at a bitrate high enough for clean motion, and stereo AAC audio. Exporting above 1080p will not add detail, because the WeddingEditor edit is 1080p.

### What are good export settings for Instagram?

Social platforms favor vertical or square for feeds and stories. WeddingEditor delivers widescreen only, so reframe in your editor and export a vertical version yourself. Keep text inside the center of the frame so platform overlays do not cover it.

### Is the WeddingEditor file good enough to upload to YouTube or Vimeo?

It is a standard 1080p H.264 MP4, which both platforms accept. If you add titles and music, export your finished version and upload that instead.

### Can WeddingEditor export in 4K?

No. There is no 4K output, even when the uploaded footage is 4K.

### Does the export include music?

Yes. Music supports the moments in the edit, and the audio preference sets the balance: More speeches & voices, Balanced speech & music, or Mostly music-led. Real wedding audio such as vows, speeches and laughter can carry the story, with music in support.

### Can I get a ProRes master?

No. The only format is H.264 MP4. If your workflow needs ProRes, import the MP4 and render a ProRes file from your editor, knowing it will not add quality beyond the source.

### How high should the bitrate be for a wedding film?

High enough that fast movement stays clean. Dancing, confetti, sparklers and handheld shots are where low bitrates break up first, so watch those sections in your export before sending it. If the file looks soft or blocky there, raise the bitrate and export again rather than sharpening.

### Should I export a separate version for a television?

Usually one well-made 1080p file covers phones, laptops and televisions. Check that the audio is not too quiet on a TV, because speech recorded in a room can sound low next to music, and keep titles away from the very edges of the frame.

### What audio settings work best when I export?

Stereo AAC is the common choice for delivery files. Listen to the vows and speeches on small speakers as well as headphones; if the speech gets lost under your music, lower the music rather than boosting the dialogue until it distorts.

### Do download links expire?

Each download link is valid for 24 hours, and you can create a new one later from the same project.
